The most critical issue of our age
Electricity production accounts for 25% of greenhouse gases (GHGs) globally as 60% of the electricity we use derives from burning fossil fuels.
By producing power and releasing CO2 into the atmosphere, it's increasing the amount of GHGs compounding the problem. The most GHGs we release the more power we will require for cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. Without change we will not adequately protect our biodiversity and we will lapse to the point of no return.
Action must be taken now.
The Problem
The world Meteorological Organisation reports that we've seen the warmest 20 years on record, and that 2015 to 2018 have been the hottest. Global average temperatures are now 1°X higher than in the pre-industrial era. Climate change is triggered by high levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Global Energy Crisis
The world is experiencing a global energy crisis with market volatility, a surge in electricity cost and disruption to energy supply chains. This makes operating a large organisation that requires a consistent and affordable source of clean energy more difficult than it ever has been.
